Hytera, a leading global provider of innovative Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) solutions, showcased a series of products and solutions including the newly-released LTE-PMR Convergence Solution, outdoor smart solution, and a number of narrowband-based products and accessories at Comms Connect Melbourne 2017 on November 22-23 at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The LTE-PMR Convergence Solution comprises the Multi-mode Advanced Radio terminals PDC760 and PTC760, the new Mobile Device Management software platform, and Remote Video Speaker Microphone, a body camera with the ability to operate standalone or work with Hytera radios as a RSM solution capturing and relaying media from the field.
Hytera also showcased a series of narrowband-based innovations including DMR Trunking Cube DS-6250 and TETRA DIB-R5 outdoor base station. The new fast-deploy repeater E-pack100 which can be used to create a wireless mobile and hoc network to route voice was also displayed. While at the terminal product line, the newly launched MD61X and Hytera high-end portable radios series were introduced with various dispatching solution.
As part of the Hytera group, Sepura was present at the exhibition to showcase its latest Tetra handheld radios, like SC20 which combines mission critical TETRA voice and data with a second high-speed data bearer and the lightweight SC21, the next-generation high-performance smart TETRA hand-held radio with crystal-clear audio and extended coverage as well as a highly usable keypad and large sunlight-visible screen. SC21 offers all the benefits of a small, lightweight radio with no compromise on functionality or performance.
Sepura also demonstrated the flexibility of its TETRA range, by showcasing two Short Data Applications (SDA) developed by one of its channel partners. The Pre-start Vehicle application and Weather Alert application developed for the mining industry can be applicable for full range of Sepura terminals including SRG3900, STP9000 and SC20 series. Sepura's SDA can be used in various scenarios and different industries. It demonstrates that TETRA is simply not a technology for voice only.
During the Annual Industry Gala Dinner on November 22, the first day of the exhibition, Simon Bradford, Project Officer of Radlink Communications, Hytera’s local partner, won Technical Excellence Award 2017.
